RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol

This course is designed for people who wish to enter, or are in, the hospitality industry and need their Responsible Service of Alcohol for employment.

It is now mandatory that all employees hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate which must be issued under the Office of Liquor, Gaming & Regulation approved course.  The course will give the participants the knowledge and understanding of relevant Queensland Liquor Laws. Training in identifying problems such as declining service when appropriate, how to minimize confrontation and arguments, understanding your responsibilities and fines. Enabling you to deal with patrons and provide accurate advice and information to customers regarding alcoholic beverages.

Barista Course - The Basics

Enjoy a fun full day learning how to make a great cup of coffee. Tasting your creations is all part of the course. Learn in a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst achieving the skills and know how required to becoming a Barista.

RSG - Responsible Service of Gambling

This course is designed for people who wish to enter or are in the hospitality industry and need their Responsible Service of Gambling for employment.

It is now mandatory that all employees hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate which must be issued under the Office of Liquor, Gaming & Regulation approved course.  This course will provide you with the necessary skills to work in the gaming industry today. Students will learn the gaming regulations and the techniques for identifying and assisting problem gamblers. Understanding your responsibilities when dealing with patrons, management and security personnel. Gambling is to be monitored now and support provided to patrons.

TAB Operator Course - off campus

The course is designed to give new TAB operator staff an exposure to the basic functions and terminology used in the language of wagering, as well as exploring some of the more advanced functions. The course content will also provide valuable information to existing TAB staff and venue managers, offering a refresher in best practice operations and supervisory cash control functions

CLO - Customer Liaison Officer Course

The Customer Liaison Course (CLO) covers both legislative and code of practice requirements. Information is presented in a logical process designed to enable gaming venues to provide necessary support to those who are at risk of excessive gambling. It also covers self exclusions and venue initiated exclusions.

RMLV - Responsible Management of Licenced Venues

This program is designed to ensure that Approved Managers (and other industry participants) recieve information about their obligations under the Liquor Act. Includes training manual and all meals.

Meet our Students

School based traineeships are a great career pathway for our High School Students.

The students are studying Certificate III in Hospitality and work 8 hours per week with their employer.

Ignite Education will pick up the students from their schools on their set college days where they attend from 1pm to 4pm.

Many of our school based trainees after completing their Certificates will stay on at their place of work and some have become supervisors in their employment.
