Why are courses cancelled?
We really don't like having to cancel a course because we don't want to disappoint you, however course proceeding is subject to minimum numbers. If a course is cancelled we will contact you either via phone or email to let you know of the next available course date.
How much does your Liquor Licensing for an Approved Manager License cost?
After you have completed the the RMLV course (Responsible Management of Licensed Venue) you still need to apply to Liquor Licensing for the Approved Manager License.

I have lost or misplaced my Statement of Attainment certificate, how do I go about getting a copy?
* We do not keep copies of certificates that have already been issued, however we can offer a replacement certificate.
When a Qualification or Statement has been lost or misplaced by a student and they request a replacement the following procedure must occur:
1. Request the student to supply a Statutory Declaration which must state they have misplaced either the Qualification and or Statement of Attainment
2. Payment and the Statutory Declaration must be received before issuing a replacement
3. The fee for these replacements are:
Qualification - $15.90
Statement - $10.70

Who should enrol and is it available to anyone?
From the 1st January 2009 RMLV certification will be required by all “Approved Managers” under the new legislation.
Staff that can benefit from doing the course include:
- Club Directors
- Duty Managers
- Supervisors
- Trainee Managers
- Interested Senior Staff Members
Is the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course covered in the RMLV?
In the RMLV course, some of the elements in the RSA course is covered; however to receive the Liquor Licensing Division Approved RSA qualification, you must complete this course separately. We can arrange in-house RSA training at your venue for a reduced group price(Conditions apply) or you can attend RSA Training at the College when they are scheduled. We are offering a complementary RSA certificate as part of the package (conditions apply)
UPDATE: The RSA is now included in the RMLV course. You do not have to complete the course separately.

We do not keep copies of RMLV certificates that have already been issued, however we can offer a replacement certificate. Replacement RMLV certificates incurs a cost of $20.00,(a statutory declaration needs to accompany the payment) payment must be received in full before replacement certificate is issued out. To arrange this please call during business hours on 07 5559 5077.
I need to cancel my enrollment into a course and I have made a deposit do I get a refund?
Cancellation Policy
For a cancellation of an RSA or RSG course and they have paid AND they have given 24 hours notice then they are entitled to a full refund. If they cancel on the day then they can have a credit to book in for another time, but no refund.
If they have booked in for the Bar & Gaming Course, and they have paid in full and they ring 24 hours before and cancel they are refunded the paid amount less the $50.00 administration fee. If the course is full and someone didn’t show OR if they are from an agency there is no refund, but they can re-booked for another date.
Any person’s who have booked and paid for a RSA or RSG course, are entitled to a refund if given 24 hours notice.
Refund Policy
Ignite Education has a refund policy in place, which is fair and equitable. The policy contains guidelines for guaranteeing the refund of fees to students should a course be cancelled or the college closes down. Students notifying the college of withdrawal from their course prior to commencement date qualify for a partial refund. Other then for medical reasons the college will not refund money once the course/unit has commenced. The College will not be liable for changes in personal circumstances, which lead to withdrawal.
Can I apply online for a Gaming LIcense?
Yes you can. The Office of Liquor Gaming Regulations (OLGR) has bought out some new changes since 1st July 2011.
You can now apply online for the following licenses or you can still do the old fashion way by printing out the new form. The new form covers all of the following licenses on the one form.
Liquor approved manager Gaming employee Gaming nominee Gaming repairer Key monitoring employee Wagering key person Lottery key person Keno employee

If you have the old form 13A you can still use this for about another 6 months, so if you have just renewed or have sent an application, you are still fine.
